2. I venture to invite_ Your Lordship's attention to the

revenue collected in 1894 which exceeds the amount estimated by $279.993, and which I believe has never yet been surpassed. It is to be regretted that in view of the above fact the~ Colony is unable to show a surplus of Revenue over Ex-

penditure
